Planargia
Planargia is mainly known for the picturesque town of Bosa. It is located on the Temo, the only river on the island that is navigable for at least a few kilometres.
A dilapidated fort watches over the town and fishing boats moor down by the palm-fringed riverbank.
The somewhat sleepy-looking old town invites you to take a stroll, and if you walk up to the fort, there is a beautiful view over the roofs of Bosa.
Bosa Marina attracts with its wide, brown sandy beach and in the hinterland you can find the Campeda plateau with numerous sights.
Here are the remains of many nuraghi as well as the witnesses of an even earlier megalithic culture such as the menhirs and the giants’ tombs of Tamuli.
Really attractive is the nuraghe Santa Sabina, which is located almost directly next to a small church of the same name.
In the tourist season, the “Trenino Verde” runs from Bosa to Macomer. A trip is especially recommended in spring, when the entire plain shines in a colourful carpet of blossoms.
