Campidano
The Campidano is the largest plain in Sardinia.
The region is of great importance for the island’s agriculture. Fruit, wine, vegetables and cereals are grown in vast fields.
There are hardly any sights here. The SS 131 (Carlo Felice) crosses the plain in direction of Cagliari.
In Sardara there are two interesting churches – San Gregorio and Sant’ Anastasia. Near the latter there is also a well temple from the Nuragher period.
Famous throughout Sardinia is the Terme di Sardara, about 3 km outside the town.
